I'll just post a short introduction and hope it helps breathe some life into this community, because I'll sadly only be here for another few weeks at the most.

Name: Chelsea
Age: 19
Due Date: January 30th!
Baby's gender: boy :)

I don't know what else people generally put in introductions. I'm about 36 weeks pregnant (technically, 35 weeks and 6 days, but close enough) and it's starting to hit me that he could be here literally any day now! My fiance and I are getting very antsy; anytime I say anything out of the ordinary about my body (such as, "I think I just leaked some pee" or "Man, my hips hurt"), he thinks I'm going into labor. Poor guy!

Anyways, I'm hoping to hear from some one you or see some new posts here soon.

PS: Happy new year!

[personal profile] synecdochic seems to think so! I had my 8 week appointment last week, and according to those measurements, I hit 9w this past Monday. That puts my EDD at 2/22/10 -- though I know first babies are usually late, and both my husband and I (also first babies) were late, so I could very well go until the first week in March.

...seriously, am I really having the first DW baby?! *g*

So... six (now seven) members, and no posts? I know that's a pretty small community, but someone's got to have something to say. Here, I'll even start!

Hello, my name is Bailey. I'm from Alberta, Canada, am 24 years old, and am currently trying to conceive - this was the first and most-recently updated community with the TTC tag, so I figured it'd be as good a place to start as any. I have been diagnosed with PCOS, am currently on Metformin, and just a few minutes ago bought a few PCOS cookbooks to help, and maybe lose some weight too.  I signed up on http://www.mymonthlycycle.com to help track too.

I've been "trying" for a year and a half (been married three years), but I wasn't being proactive. I was off birth control, and since I figured my husband and I enjoy the efforts, I didn't worry about tracking cycles or ovulation or any of that. A few months ago is when I started on metformin, and now that my cycle is noticably more steady I'm going to start being much more observant of my own body and more proactive about all the little factors that can help.

Now, your turn!
